Tutor Guide
Reviews and Disputes
Student reviews appear on your public profile and influence how new students perceive your teaching. This guide explains how to view your reviews and how the dispute process works.
Viewing your reviews
Go to My Reviews from your tutor dashboard to see all reviews associated with your profile.
Each review shows:
- The lesson type and language
- The star rating (1–5)
- The student's comment, if provided
- The current review status
Review statuses
| Status | What it means |
|---|---|
| Visible | The review is published and visible on your public profile |
| Disputed | You have submitted a dispute; the review is hidden from your public profile while under admin review |
| Hidden | The review has been hidden by an admin following a dispute |
Disputing a review
If you believe a review is inaccurate or violates community standards, you can raise a dispute.
- Go to My Reviews.
- Find the review you want to dispute.
- Click Dispute.
- Enter your reason for the dispute — be specific and factual.
- Click Submit dispute.
The review is removed from your public profile immediately when the dispute is submitted. An admin will assess the dispute and either keep it hidden or restore it as visible.
What happens after a dispute
- If the dispute is upheld, the review status stays Hidden and remains off your public profile.
- If the dispute is not upheld, the review is restored to Visible and reappears on your public profile.
- You will receive an email notification with the outcome. You can also check My Reviews at any time for the current status.
Best practices
- Only dispute reviews that contain inaccurate information or violate community guidelines.
- Provide clear and specific reasons in your dispute submission.
- Do not dispute reviews solely because they are critical — honest feedback helps the platform.
